Norwegian Cruise Line’s Newest Ship
Norwegian Luna Is Packed With Fun For Multigenerational Travelers
Norwegian Cruise Line’s recently launched newest ship, the 3,565-guest Norwegian Luna, is an ideal choice for extended families traveling together. It offers many of the cruise line’s latest exclusive amenities, as well as a host of new features. In addition to a choice in accommodations, guests of all ages will find what makes them happiest among the abundance of food, entertainment, and wow factors.

Solo To Luxury Accommodations
Norwegian Luna’s range of accommodations enable multigenerational families to spread out in comfort. Those seeking a luxury experience will be impressed by the suites at The Haven by Norwegian, an exclusive ship-within-a ship area. Within this special private-entry enclave, guests enjoy a dedicated restaurant, bar, lounge, pool, hot tubs, and deck area for their exclusive use. Beyond The Haven, you’ll find inside, oceanview, balcony, and even solo staterooms.
International Dining
There are 17 dining options offering more than 15 cuisines onboard Norwegian Luna. Besides the two open seating complimentary main dining rooms, culinary choices include nine specialty restaurants for an additional fee. Our absolute favorite was Onda by Scarpetta, including its signature breads, fabulous pastas, pizzas, and more high-end delicious Italian dishes. You can also dine at Cagney’s Steakhouse, Le Bistro for French fare, Palomar for seafood, Sukhothai for Thai dishes, Nama Sushi, Hasuki Japanese grill, and Los Lobos for Mexican cuisine.
Mexican Cuisine
Among the other complimentary dining offerings, the very popular Indulge Food Hall invites guests to sit down and use a tablet to choose from among plant-based foods, Italian, Chinese, tapas, and Southeast Asian, all delivered to the table. The Surfside Café & Grill is the ship’s buffet for salads, burgers, entrees, side dishes, desserts, and breakfast items in the morning. The classic pub fare of The Local Bar & Grill offers a great spot for comfort food.
Endless Entertainment
Many of the 18 bars and lounges on board feature live entertainment performing a variety of music genres. In addition to these, Norwegian Luna’s evenings are further packed with entertainment options. Elton John fans may want to set sail on the ship just for the chance to see the original production, “Elton: A Celebration of Elton John,” which pays tribute to the legend and his music through live performances, video, and special effects in the ship’s main theater.
Another must-see performance is Syd Norman’s Pour House’s “A Tribute to Eagles.” Syd Norman’s Pour House is the ship’s intimate live entertainment venue, but during this show guests are able to enjoy a special performance at the main theater. The ship’s The Improv At Sea venue hosts guest comedians with performances either for all ages or only for 18-plus.
Family Fun
If action is what you’re seeking while on board Norwegian Luna, head to the Aqua Slidecoaster, which the company states is “the longest and fastest slides at sea.” The dual slides include a magnetic lift that propels guests through two different courses. There is also The Drop, a free-fall dry slide, for additional adrenaline thrills. More games and fun include mini golf, oversized foosball, pickleball, the Glow Court high-tech LED sports floor, and Moon Climber, a multi-level climbing and obstacle course. Luna Game Zone is home to classic arcade games and virtual reality experiences. Kids even have a dedicated Aqua Park.
The onboard complimentary kids’ camps are divided by age and are sure to make the youngest guests happy. Then, mom and dad can relax at the Vibe Beach Club, an adults-only area for lounging in the sun or dipping in infinity hot tubs. Or spend time in the Mandara Spa and Salon, for a massage, facial, or other pampering treatment, or relax in the flotation salt pool, steam, sauna, salt room, ice room, and more at the Thermal Suite.
Fun In The Sun Destinations
Norwegian Luna is sailing Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries roundtrip Miami through April 2027, including a stop at its newly enhanced private island, Great Stirrup Cay. You will have an array of places to relax or be active on the island, including the Great Life Lagoon large pool area. Look for the nearly six-acre Great Tides Waterpark to debut this summer with 19 waterslides, cliffside jumps, a 9,000 square-foot kids splash zone, and more. When you want kids-free zones on the island, the new adults-only Vibe Shore Club offers a private bar, premium lounge seating and cabanas, as well as private beach access.
Take the luxury level up even more at Silver Cove featuring one- and two-bedroom villas that can host six to 16 guests with food and beverage delivery service plus private beach, pool, restaurant and two bars. The area is also home to a spa for oceanside pampering.
Next year, look for Norwegian Luna to homeport in New York from April to October 2027, where you can sail roundtrip from our own backyard to Bermuda.
