FEAST & FETTLE

DELIVERS MORE THAN FOOD

They Give Busy New Yorkers Time Back to Connect

By Sean-Patrick M. Hillman

There’s a truth I’ve learned over the years: life moves too fast, and meals are the first casualty. Between deadlines, commutes, and the constant hustle of New York City, it can feel almost impossible to sit down with family, breathe, and share a proper dinner. Yet deep down, I know those moments; the stories swapped over a warm plate, the laughter across the table. They are the ones that matter most. They’re the glue that binds us together. That’s the way it was when I was a child. That’s the way it now is as an adult.

That’s why the story of Feast & Fettle resonated so deeply with me. A premium meal delivery service that expanded to Manhattan last month, Feast & Fettle is unlike any other I’ve ever seen. And when I say delivery, I mean actually delivered to your doorstep, fresh from their kitchens; as opposed to shipped by a third party like some others I have tried.

Born from the belief that families shouldn’t have to choose between time together and good food, the company has grown into one of the most exciting meal delivery services in the country. What struck me most wasn’t just their growth. It was their mission: to bring joy back to mealtime.

More Than Just Food
We live in a world obsessed with counting and cutting, where food is often reduced to numbers. But I’ve always believed, as Feast & Fettle does, that food is nourishment in its truest sense. It’s about comfort, warmth, and connection. It’s about walking through the door and being greeted by the smell of something delicious. It’s about that sigh of relief when you realize dinner doesn’t have to be a battle. It can be a joy.

Feast & Fettle’s chef-crafted meals are designed with that in mind. Using hand-selected ingredients and prepared in their own kitchens, these meals aren’t just delivered to your door. They’re delivered with care. From a sustainable packaging return process to the dedicated drivers who bring them straight to your stoop, every detail is thought through. For New Yorkers, that means the difference between collapsing on the couch with take-out and sitting down to a dinner that feels like home.

And if the meals my wife and I experienced while testing Feast & Fettle are any indication, New York is in for a delicious ride! Despite the fact that the service offers a full array of entrees, side dishes, desserts, kid’s menus, and even seasonal specials, for this story I’ll give you two examples to make it simple. Now let me be clear in that each offering we sampled across entrees and sides were some of the most delicious and nourishing we’ve ever had, but the two entrees just stood out in so many ways.

Meal delivery services often have a difficult time delivering a quality beef product, either overcooked or lacking in flavor for fear of overpowering the diner. In the case of their Teriyaki-Glazed Steak Tips, they were perfectly prepared, with an incredible flavor profile that could rival a 5-star steakhouse. Then there was the Grilled General Tso’s Tofu. Oh my God. The flavor profile was spot on as if it came from a local Chinese restaurant, but not overpowering, leaving you wanting more. The serving sizes are generous, but not overly abundant. In other words, everything was just right – from the delivery to the taste to the nutrients. And, in my opinion, that is Feast & Fettle in a snapshot.

A Company with Heart
What sets Feast & Fettle apart is not only its food, but its spirit of care. They treat their team like family, providing free meals so employees can bring the same joy home to their own tables. That philosophy extends outward, nourishing communities one meaningful meal at a time. For example, this month, they’re launching their Feast & Fettle Fridge program, where they stock community fridges with free, nourishing, ready-to-eat meals for those in need. The fridges are hosted by partner organizations where they can have the most impact, with the first one at New York’s Ali Forney Center, a safe haven for LGBTQ+ youth facing homelessness. And in a city that often feels like it runs on speed rather than connection, this approach feels revolutionary.

I’ve always said the best meals are the ones that create conversation, that spark laughter, that remind us of who we are and where we came from. Feast & Fettle has made that their mission. They’re not just delivering dinner; they’re delivering togetherness.

From Rhode Island to Manhattan
The company’s growth has been nothing short of explosive, without compromising on the quality, consistency and care their members have come to love. What began as a small Rhode Island idea has blossomed into a multi-state operation serving families across New England and the Tri-State area. Today, Feast & Fettle operates in seven states—Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut—and they’re not slowing down.

In January, they entered Brooklyn, which quickly became their third-largest market. By April, they had expanded into lower Manhattan, answering the call of busy downtown families. And in August, just before the start of the school year, Feast & Fettle officially launched across all of Manhattan, offering parents, professionals, and everyone in between a way to reclaim mealtime.

Think about that: in one of the busiest cities in the world, families will now have the chance to carve out a few extra minutes for laughter, stories, or simply silence shared over a warm plate. In a place where every second feels scheduled, that’s no small gift.

Growth Fueled by Trust
But what really stands out is loyalty. Nearly half of their revenue comes from members who remain with them a year after joining—more than double the industry average! That speaks volumes about the trust Feast & Fettle earns, meal after meal, household after household. In a city where customers are notoriously fickle, that’s nothing short of remarkable.

Why It Matters to Me
As I navigate the chaos of modern New York life, I see how easily those sacred moments at the dinner table with family can slip away. Feast & Fettle is offering a way to hold onto them—not with nostalgia, but with practicality and purpose. They’re saying: you don’t have to sacrifice connection for convenience. You don’t have to choose between rushing and enjoying. You can have both.

Because in the end, food is never just food. It’s love on a plate. It’s the reminder that no matter how busy we get, we deserve to sit down, share a meal, and be human together.

The Future of the Table Looking ahead, I can’t help but feel excited for what Feast & Fettle represents—not only for families in Manhattan, but for communities across the Northeast. Their growth is proof that we’re craving more than convenience. We’re craving connection.

As New Yorkers, we pride ourselves on being unstoppable. But maybe the real strength lies in knowing when to pause, to gather, and to savor. Feast & Fettle is giving us that chance, one meal, one family, one table at a time.

And that, to me, is a feast worth celebrating.
